Syncfusion E-Book Number 7

Can you believe it’s 3 years since I wrote my first eBook for the Syncfusion Succinctly series, back in January 2013 Syncfusion released “GIS Succinctly”, I never really though it would go much further than that because I really didn’t believe I had that much to offer as a technical writer.

Here I am, 3 years later, and my 7th book has just been released, this time on the “NancyFX micro web framework”, a .NET framework that I’m extremely passionate about using, and I wholly believe that once you try it, you’ll never want to go back.

One of the great things about Nancy however, is that it runs just as well under Mono on a NON WINDOWS platform, just as well as it runs on windows. This in my mind opens up a whole world of new possibilities. For example, I have micro services, written for and running quite happily under Rasbian on my RaspberryPI, where I’ve attached a GPS unit to it, and set up my own Atomic Clock/Time server for my network.

Nancy is an amazing little framework that just keeps getting better, if you want to download the latest book for free you can grab a copy at

http://www.syncfusion.com/resources/techportal/details/ebooks/nancyfx

There’s also a sample application to play with available on my GitHub account at

You can find a full list of all my books to date under the “My Writings” menu entry at the top of this page.

Happy new year….

  1. I will read your book, I am C# beginner and i have found the tutorials for NancyFX are for intermediate developers which is strange because Sinatra inspired frameworks ( such as Flask ) are easy and powerful alternative to big frameworks such as MVC ASP.Net, Rails or Django , however i have found the tutorials for example on pluralsight for NancyFx were hard, I duno why maybe because I am beginner or it assume people to be good in C#, but i think am ok in C# i understand MVC in ASP.NET 4/5, Lamda expression etc, I will read it and hope I will find what i want in it thanks.
